EDINBURG - Three leg injuries, all caused by being kicked, give the Bronc soccer team three problems when the University of Texas-Pan American faces Texas Lutheran here at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Jose Paceco of McAllen missed the last two games with a deep bruise on one knee. Ronnie Cabrera of Bolivia and
Jorge Cavazos of Reynosa have been playing with leg and foot bruises.
Coach Eloy Moran reports the Broncs in generally good shape. They try to improve their 8-1 record, the best in the Sun Belt Conference, against Texas Lutheran, a team they edged by 1-0 in Seguin Sept. 9.
"Texas Lutheran has some German players and they are always good," Moran said.
Sunday's game was originally scheduled for Oct. 19. Moran hopes to schedule a team from Matamoros on that date. If he doesn't add the team from Mexico, the Broncs' final home game will be Oct. 13 against St. Mary's University.
