Soccer Broncs Bow to South Alabama, 2-0

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - South Alabama's Shaun Rothuysen continued his rampage at the Sun Belt Conference Soccer Mini-Series when he scored a goal in the first three minutes Sunday and added an assist to beat Texas-Pan American, 2-0.

Rothuysen had scored two goals and added two assists Saturday when USA's Jaguars clawed Arkansas-Little Rock, 5-0. He totaled three goals and eight points in two games.

Goalie Albert Flores of UTPA made six saves Sunday but USA took 18 shots at goal compared to the Broncs' seven.

USA improved to 11-5 overall and 3-2 in the Sun Belt. UTPA is now 2-9 and 1-4. The Broncs make thier last home appearance at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, against their Alumni Select Team, then go to the Sun Belt Tournament Nov. 3-5 at Western Kentucky.
