"It was a tough in some of the events because we had to compete under really poor weather conditions," stated head coach Ricky Vaughn, "I was really impressed with how the kids responded and feel that for our first meet of the season we competed very solid. We had a lot of athletes record personal-bests, and got to see a school record broken. I think this shows that we have a lot to look forward to this season."

UTPA track and field will be back in competition at Angelo State (Mar. 16-17) for a multi-event meet.
