Programs
Speaker Series
The UTRGV Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is dedicated to bringing distinguished speakers to enlighten our Student-Athletes about various issues and topics. The Coordinator for Student Services works with Athletics Administration to create a multi-year rotation of topics and speakers.  Topics include, but are not limited to: financial awareness; growth mindset; diversity, equity & inclusion; and mental health.

Career Series – Four Year Career Development Plan
UTRGV Student Services has launched its Four Year Career Development Plan for student-athletes. In the Spring of 2017 the Career Series was presented Personal Branding and Resume techniques to Juniors and Seniors. The launch of the Career Plan has incorporated our lower school (freshmen and sophomore) student-athletes into developing their professional portfolios earlier. This programming encourages early drafts of resumes and cover letters and finding shadowing/internship opportunities. Additionally, Student Services is collaborating with the Hauser Lab to work on interview skill-sets and media training.

Athletics Mentoring Program
Interested student-athletes will be paired up with mentors from around the department and University.
