After recording a dominating 6-1 victory over San Jose State, the Lady Broncs suffered a 7-0 sweep over University of San Francisco on Sunday (Apr. 13) in San Francisco, CA.
With the setback, the Lady Broncs fell to 16-8 on the season and dropped a two game winning streak.
The Lady Broncs were unable to find their grove falling in all three doubles' matches and all six single matches.
Giana Oliveira and Julia Cirne-Lima suffered an 8-3 setback to Sarah Oudomvilay in the top flight while Silke Buksik and Megan Bedeau lost an 8-5 decision to Mylene Martin and Jessy Mekpoh in the second flight.
Falling in the third flight was Stephanie Willerding and Luisa Cantu by a score of 8-1 to Emma Taylor Jenny Sperry.
In singles' play, Oliveira dropped her match by scores of 6-1, 6-0 to 66th ranked Jenni Heinser playing in the number-one spot while Bedeau fell 6-2, 6-0 against Martin in the number-two spot in the rotation.
Cirne-Lima dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Taylor in the number-three spot in the lineup while Willerding suffered a close 6-4, 5-7, and 10-5 setback playing in the fourth spot in the rotation.
Falling short of her 20th win in singles' play was Buksik who fell 6-2, 6-0 to Mekpoh in the number-five spot while Cantu dropped her match 6-4, 6-3 against Oudomvilay.
The Lady Broncs will look for their final win of the season this afternoon when they go head-to-head with Santa Clara in Santa Clara, CA.
