ALCORN STATE, Mississippi – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's tennis team defeated the Alcorn State University Braves 4-0 Thursday afternoon.
 
The singles matches were played first and once the match was decided, both schools decided not to play the doubles matches due to impending rain. 
 
The Broncs (4-3) grabbed the early lead after Beau Bernstein defeated Ernest Santillan, 6-4, 6-2 in the #1 singles spots. Ricardo Hopker defeated Winfried Weinbeer in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0 in the #2 position.
 
Chetan Panditi was victorious over Vitali Vasileuski in the #3 position, 6-3, 6-3.  Sebastian Job put the match away for the Broncs defeating Garry Amor Singh, 6-0, 6-2 in the #5 position. 
 
The Broncs continue their stretch of seven road matches in seven days when they visit the University of Louisiana Lafayette on March 9 at 2:30 p.m.
