EDINBURG – In their final home match of the season, the University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's tennis team fell to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin Cajuns 0-7 on Wednesday at the newly renovated Orville Cox Tennis Center.
 
The match started with a tight doubles point. After Yates Johnson and Edgar Lopez beat Chetan Panditi and Ricardo Hopker 8-4 at No. 2, Felix Hasselberg and Sebastien Job won 7-6 by default over Rick de Groot and Jake Wynan at No. 1 to tie it up. The Ragin Cajuns (11-10) clinched the point when Elliot Minvielle and Damian Farinola beat Victor Alves and Thomas-Orestis Panoulas 8-6 at No. 3.
 
The Ragin Cajuns won on courts two and three to go up 3-0. The Broncs (7-14) had a shot at a win at No. 4, as Job forced a first set tiebreaker, but lost it 4-7 before dropping the second set 3-6 to Wynan as the Ragin Cajuns clinched the match.
 
Hasselberg played a strong match for the Broncs at No. 6, but fell to Johnson 5-7, 3-6.
 
The Broncs hit the road for a critical Southland Conference matchup at Lamar on Friday, April 12 at 3:00 p.m.
