THIBODAUX, La. – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's tennis team had their six-match win streak snapped after falling 4-1 to the Nicholls State University Colonels on Wednesday at the Colonel Tennis Complex.
 
The Broncs (11-5) won at No. 1 doubles as Wanda Beguelin and Christel Amsallem defeated Isla Brock and Emma Kranendonk 8-2 but the Colonel (5-4) won their matches at No. 2 and 3 doubles to clinch the point.
 
In singles, Katia Stavroulaki picked up the lone point for the Broncs as she defeated Klara Skopac 6-1, 6-1 at the No. singles spot. The Colonels went on to win their singles matches at No. 2, 4 and 5 to clinch the match.
 
The other two singles matches went unfinished once the match was clinched.
 
The Broncs wrap up their six-match road trip on Thursday at 10 a.m. when they face Oral Roberts University.
