LAFAYETTE, La. – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs men's tennis team battled against the No. 66 University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns on Sunday but fell 1-6 at the Cajun Courts.
The Broncs (3-15) started off doubles with a win at No. 3 as
Joseph Bishop and
Mauricio Fosado defeated Carl Alberton and Will Huyton 8-3. After the Broncs dropped the match at No. 2 doubles, they fell 6-8 at the No. 1 spot as the Ragin' Cajuns (16-4) clinched the doubles point.
In singles, the Broncs got their lone point at the No. 1 spot as
Juan Cruz Soria defeated Jake Wynan in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, The Ragin' Cajuns took the rest of the singles matches in straight sets to clinch the match.
The Broncs are back in action on April 4 when they hit the road to face Laredo Community College at 1 p.m.
