EDINBURG – The University of Texas-Pan American women's team closed out their regular season with a 0-4 loss to the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders on Wednesday at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
 
The Broncs (13-7) fell behind early in the match as the Islanders picked up wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles to clinch the point. The team of Mariana Ranzahuer and Didi Fatchikova led 7-4 at No. 3 doubles but went unfinished once the doubles point was clinched.
 
The Islanders (15-4) put the match away as they picked up victories at No. 1, 4 and 5 singles. Wanda Beguelin picked up a 6-4 win in her first set against Judit Vives but went unfinished once the match was clinched. Christel Amsallem also picked up a win in her first set against Vanesa Figueroa but it also went unfinished.
 
The Broncs are back in action on April 25 when they travel to Las Cruces, New Mexico for the Western Athletic Conference Championships.
