The Broncs (26-28, 16-10 WAC) clinch their seventh-straight WAC series victory, guarantee themselves at least the No. 3 seed in the WAC Tournament, and are now a win or a Utah Valley loss away from clinching the No. 2 seed and a first round bye. Utah Valley is at Grand Canyon Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30. The Broncs and Bears complete their series Sunday at 1.
With the Broncs trailing 2-1 in the ninth, sophomore PSJA alum
Bryan Ramirez drew a leadoff, moved to second on a passed ball and to third on a groundout before scoring on a wild pitch to tie the game at 2-2.
Yan Fortin (1-3) who blew the save in he ninth, allowed a leadoff infield-single to senior
Shane Ammon in the 10
th before getting pulled. The Broncs went on to load the bases with one out, leading to RBI-singles by freshman
Victor Garcia Jr., Ramirez and redshirt freshman Edinburg alum
Edgar Cordon followed by a two-run single by junior
Evan Mason to put the Broncs up five.
Ammon finished 3-for-6 with a stole base out of the leadoff spot.
That made a winner English (6-3), who pitched his fourth complete game in six starts with a career-high 10 innings, striking out three while allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk. He threw 86 of his 133 pitches (64.66 percent) for strikes.

Colby Harrison hit an RBI-double and
Alex Drew came up with a sacrifice fly.
The runs came after the Broncs had taken the lead in the top of the inning when junior
Jesus Garcia hit a sacrifice fly to make it 1-0.
That was it against
Chris Hammer, who struck out six while allowing seven hits and four walks in eight innings.
