HUNTSVILLE – The University of Texas-Pan American Broncs women's tennis team continues their road trip as they face the Sam Houston State Bearkats on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the McAdams Tennis Complex.
Last Time OutThe Broncs picked up their first victory of the season after defeating the Prairie View A&M University Panthers 4-0 on Saturday at the Prairie View A&M Tennis Complex.

Reegan Greenwood defeated the duo of Taylor LeFridge and Stacy Lackey 6-3. The team of junior

Lison Le Biavant beat Maria Lackey and Capra Fellows 6-2 to clinch the doubles point.
In singles, Stavroulaki defeated LeFridge 6-2, 7-5 at the No. 1 singles spot. Sophomore
Mariana Ranzahuer defeated Stacy Lackey in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 3 spot and Greenwood clinched the match for the Broncs with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Tatiana Ruhl at the No. 4 spot.
Scouting the BearkatsThe Bearkats went 4-13 last season and return just three from last season's squad.
Karen Martinez returns for her junior season after leading the Bearkats with a 9-6 record while picking up seven of her nine wins in the No. 5 singles position. Olivia Battye returns for her senior season after playing all her singles matches at the No. 1 spot while going 3-11 and Maddie Mortimore returns after posting a 2-3 record while posting both of her wins in the No. 2 singles position.
The Bearkats also add Bailey VanDyke, who transferred from Louisiana-Lafayette. She played at the No. 2 and 3 singles spots as a true freshman for the Ragin' Cajuns.
The Bearkats open their spring dual match season against the Broncs on Sunday.
The SeriesThe Broncs are 7-13 all-time against the Bearkats in a series that dates back to 1986. The last time these two teams met was on March 16, 2012 when the Bearkats defeated the Broncs 6-1 in Corpus Christi.
The last time the Broncs defeated the Bearkats was on February 2, 2001 as they picked up the 4-1 victory on a neutral court in San Marcos.
GlobetrottersThe Broncs currently have nine student-athletes on the roster representing six different countries including Colombia, England, France, Greece, Mexico and the United States.
Next UpThe Broncs are back in action on January 30 when they travel to Waco to face off against the No. 9 Baylor University Bears.
