Every so often over the next week, UTPA women's soccer head coach Glad Bugariu, also the head coach of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines women's national team, will blog about his experiences during the time leading up to the Winward Islands Football Association Championship.March 18Another training session in the books. The team is very enthusiastic and capable of constant improvement. The more work we do, the better they get. Everyone is very eager to learn.
I recently got bad news, though. The Windward Islands Football Tournament has been moved to April 7, therefore I will not be able to be with them during that time. I will continue to train them through next week, though, as was our original agreement.
Depending on how it all ends up, I hope to be invited back at some point.
That being said, although I'm disappointed, the adventure continues. As soon as training ended it was time to attend two men's premier league matches. Perhaps we can find a player for our men's program.
March 19Good morning from St. Vincent!
Today I visited with the Liverpool Academy that is down here, but of course the view from their field is better than the actual field.

Although loosely associated with the famous English club, the academy caters to rich tourists who stay at the Buccament Bay Resort, where a room is $1,200 per night.
The director is a former St. Vincent and the Grenadines national team player and coach, and after spending the morning with him, I have to say, besides being the head women's soccer coach at UTPA, he may have the best coaching gig I have seen!
This afternoon I am conducting another session with the senior men's national team goalkeepers, followed by my regular women's national team session. We have another friendly game this Saturday, so we are working to see an improvement from the last game to this one.
More to come!
