CORPUS CHRISTI – Senior Reegan Greenwood moved into a tie for seventh place in the program's career singles wins list as the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley women's tennis team fell 1-6 to the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders on Sunday at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.
 
Greenwood defeated Jelena Dzinic on court one as she opened with a 6-3 in the first set before falling 2-6 in the second. In the tiebreaker, Greenwood and Dzinic went back and forth before Greenwood came away with the 12-10 victory for the Vaqueros' (1-3) lone point.

With the singles victory, Greenwood is now tied with Wanda Beguelin (2011-14) with 44 career singles wins.
 
The Islanders (3-0) swept through doubles after winning on courts two and three with court one going unfinished. The Islanders clinched the match with singles wins on courts two, five, three, four and six.
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action next Sunday when they host the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas at 12 p.m. at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
