CORPUS CHRISTI – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros men's tennis team closes out the 50
th Annual H-E-B Tournament of Champions as they face the South Alabama Jaguars on Saturday at the H-E-B Tennis Courts.
The match will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the winner taking fifth place in the tournament of champions
Last Time OutThe Vaqueros (7-6) are coming off of a 4-2 victory over the UTSA Roadrunners.

Ethan Ammon,
Koby Jansen and
Andres Hernandez each posted singles victories for the Vaqueros. Hernandez recorded his first career victory to lift UTRGV to victory.
Doubles were not played.
Scouting the JaguarsThe Jaguars are 9-7 on the season after coming off of a 4-3 victory over DePaul. They opened the tournament with a 0-4 loss at the hands of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders on Friday morning.
Tim Srkala leads the Jaguars with nine singles victories in the dual match season. Tuki Jacobs has posted a 14-5 singles record combined with the fall while posting eight of those wins in the spring.
Oliver Gingras and G. Gruindelingh lead the team with seven doubles victories while no other team has more than four victories in doubles play.
The All-Time SeriesThe Vaqueros are 0-3 against the Jaguars all-time in a series that dates back to 1993. The last time these two teams faced came on March 3, 2006 when the Jaguars pulled off the 4-0 victory in Corpus Christi.
GlobetrottersThe Vaqueros currently have eight student-athletes on the roster representing six different countries, including the Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Australia, Spain, Israel and Argentina.
Next UpThe Vaqueros return to the court on March 12 when they travel to Houston to face the Rice University Owls.
