DALLAS – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros women's tennis team fell 0-4 to the University of Texas-El Paso on Saturday at the SMU Tennis Complex to close out their weekend.
 
The Vaqueros (9-8, 3-2 WAC) dropped the doubles point as the Miners (9-9) took two the three doubles matches as they won on courts one and two. The Vaqueros did pick up a win on court three as the team of freshmen Doris Aleksovska and Dominique Ibarra defeated Daphne Visscher and Maria Paula Medina 6-2.
 
The Miners then put the match away as they won on singles courts one, two, three and four. Ibarra did take a set from Visscher on court four but was trailing in the second set before the match went unfinished. Aleksovska dropped her first set to Tench on court five but led in the second set before it also went unfinished.
 
Freshman Tara Donaho's match on court six against Medina also went unfinished.
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action on April 16 when they head to San Marcos to face Texas State.
