CHICAGO, Ill. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's tennis team had its two-match win streak after falling to UMKC 0-7 on Saturday at the CSU Tennis Courts.
UTRGV (10-11, 1-3 WAC) fell behind early in the match as UMKC (19-9, 5-0 WAC) took two of three doubles matches. UMKC won on courts one and two but the team of sophomore Clément Sarradin and freshman Zane Kohrs picked up the 6-4 win over Anil Patel and Hunter Clark.
UMKC won in straight sets on five of six courts to clinch the win but on court five it was Kohrs who opened with a 6-4 win in the first set before falling in the second and third.
UTRGV will close out its regular season when it faces Seattle U on Sunday at 9 a.m. at the CSU Tennis Courts.
