WACO – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) women's soccer team fell to Baylor University 2-0 wrap up its two-match road trip on Sunday at Mary Lou Mays Soccer Field.
 
Baylor (7-3) got the lead in the first half with a goal from 
Giuliana Cunningham. She took the pass from 
Jackie Crowther and headed it into the goal, her third of the season, at 32:32.
 
In the second half, Baylor added to its lead after 
Raegan Padgett scored at 60:49 for her third goal of the season. 
 
UTRGV was outshot by Baylor 8 to 23 and 3 to 10 on goal. Junior 
Kinga Szemik and redshirt freshman 
Maile Lunardi combined for eight saves with Lunardi making a career-high six.
 
UTRGV will be back in action on Thursday, September 20, when it returns home to host Texas Lutheran University at 7 p.m. at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex. It will be $3 Thursday where fans can get tickets and most concession items for $3. Doors open at 6 p.m.
