COLLEGE STATION – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) indoor track & field teams had four student-athletes break into the top 10 in their events in program history at theTexas A&M's Aggie Twilight on Saturday at Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium.
Junior La Joya alum
Ricardo Mendoza recorded two of the aforementioned results, posting the fifth-fastest 800-meter run in program history with a sixth-place time of 1:54.52, and the seventh-fastest mile in program history, with a fourth-place time of 4:16.31.

Sierra Spinler also had a great mile run, finishing fifth with the fourth-fastest time in program history, 5:05.86.
Sophomore
Alexandrea Hurst finished second in the shot put with 10
th-best throw in program history, 14.18 meters.
UTRGV is back in action Friday and Saturday at the WAC Championships in Boise, Ida.
