EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) men's tennis team learned on Tuesday that the doubles team of junior Clément Sarradin and freshman George Hutchings have been named Western Athletic Conference Men's Double Team of the Week.
 
The duo went 2-0 over the weekend in the UTRGV Spring Break Showdown. Sarradin and Hutchings teamed up for a 6-2 win over Nicholls State's Oleksandr Podgursky and Tobias Lentz on court one on Friday.
 
They followed with a 7-5 win on Sunday over Alcorn State's Johnatan Parat and Gjorgiji Popovski on court one. 
 
Both wins helped UTRGV win the doubles point over Nicholls State and Alcorn State. Sarradin and Hutchings improved to 3-2 as a team on the season.
 
UTRGV will be back in action this weekend when it faces New Mexico State it its first WAC match of the season on Friday.
