RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday that 157 student-athletes made the Fall Athletics Director's Honor Roll by achieving a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 while serving as full-time students as part of a team during the fall semester.

The recipients will be honored at halftime of Thursday's 7 p.m. men's basketball game vs. Grand Canyon at the UTRGV Fieldhouse.
 
Thirty-four student-athletes earned perfect GPAs of 4.0. As a whole, the department's fall GPA, encompassing 259 student-athletes, was 3.07. The department's cumulative GPA currently stands at 3.17. 
 
Baseball had the most student-athletes named to the AD Honor Roll with 26, while men's golf had the highest percentage, as all 10 of their student-athletes earned the honor.
 
Women's golf had a department-best 3.52 GPA. Men's golf had the highest GPA among men's teams at 3.46.
 
"Our student-athletes are continuing to excel and succeed by putting in hard work both in the classroom and in competition," UTRGV Vice President and Director of Athletics Chasse Conque said. "We are proud of their accomplishments as they progress toward a degree here at UTRGV."
