SAN ANTONIO – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's soccer team played the University of the Incarnate Word to a 1-1 draw on Saturday at Gayle & Tom Benson Stadium.
Gina Steiner had the lone goal for UTRGV, which was her third goal of the spring after scoring a pair against the St. Kitts and Nevis national team.
"Overall it was a good performance on the road," UTRGV head coach
Glad Bugariu said. "We would have liked to have a bit of a killer insight on some of the chances we created but I was pleased with how we played."
UTRGV will be back in action on March 28 when it travels back to San Antonio to face UTSA at 1 p.m.
