RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Friday the cancelation of spring and summer camps through August 1 due to concerns about the safety of student-athletes, coaches, staff and the community amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
 
The baseball, volleyball and men's and women's basketball, soccer and tennis teams were scheduled to host more than 30 camps and clinics in Edinburg and Brownsville between April and August 1.
 
If conditions allow, select camps and clinics may be rescheduled for the fall.
