RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) baseball team announced on Thursday plans to host youth camps at UTRGV Baseball Stadium on November 6, January 15 and January 21.

November 6 and January 15 – Prospect Camps, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
These camps are designed to give campers ages 14 and up in high school, junior college, or the transfer portal the opportunity to showcase their talents and abilities while being evaluated by NCAA Division I baseball coaches. Campers will get an opportunity to meet the UTRGV baseball coaches, tour the facilities, and experience the culture while the coaches get the opportunity to see the campers firsthand. Campers will be evaluated in hitting, defense, pitching, speed, and arm strength. The registration fee is $125 for pitchers and $150 for position and two-way players.
  
January 21 – Kids Camp, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
This camp is for kids ages 7-13. Campers will get an opportunity to meet the UTRGV baseball coaches & players while getting a breakdown of the different aspects of the game, such as defense, hitting and baserunning. The registration fee is $40.
