SAN ANTONIO – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros men's tennis team was dominant during Day 2 of the Roadrunner Invitational at the UTSA Tennis Center on Saturday, going 10-0 in doubles and singles action. 
 
UTRGV will close the tournament Sunday with singles competition starting at 8:30 a.m.  
 
The Vaqueros got their impressive day started with solid performances in doubles. Sophomores Borna Devald and Karlo Krolo won the A Draw South Final 6-1 over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi's Matthieu Peres/Lucas Schurdevin. Junior Emilien Burnel and sophomore Sam Whitehead defeated Abilene Christian's Benjamin McDonald/Ethan Scribner 6-3 in the C Draw West Final. Seniors Te Kani Williams and Chris Lawrance took their D Draw West Final match 6-3 over Oral Roberts' Aaron Brewer/Kevin Leuenberger. Freshman McAllen Memorial alum Agustin Salazar teamed with Michael Canales from OLLU to defeat ORU's Gustavo Pinho/Eli Brewer 6-4 in the C Draw South Final. 
 
That momentum rolled into singles action in the afternoon. Burnel remained undefeated in the Singles D Draw after beating Pinho in a grueling match, 6-7 (6-7), 7-6 (7-4), 7-5. He advanced to the D-East Final where he'll play UTSA's Garrett Skelly at 8:30 a.m. 
 
Salazar and Lawrance also improved to 2-0 in their bracket and will face each other in the H Draw East Final at 8:30 a.m. Salazar defeated his doubles partner, Canales, 6-2, 6-3 and Lawrance bested OLLU's Murilo Salviato 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. 
 
The G Draw West Final scheduled for 11:30 a.m. will also be an all-UTRGV affair. Williams clinched the first set of his semifinal match 6-1 over Aaron Brewer, then was tied 3-3 in the second when he was awarded the win via disqualification. Whitehead beat OLLU's Enzo Frequelin 6-1, 6-4 in the second semifinal. 

Krolo captured a tough 7-5, 7-5 victory over Incarnate Word's Rafal Bednarczuk in the Singles E Draw West Semifinal. He'll face ACU's Mihaly Deli in the E-West Final at 11 a.m. 
 
Devald advanced to the A Draw West Final via injury withdrawal. He'll face Rice's Emir Sendogan at 10:30 a.m. 
 
Members of the UTRGV women's tennis team – Isabelle Bahr, Marjorie Souza and W/M assistant coach Ekaterina Vorobeva – stopped by the UTSA Tennis Center on their way home from the women's tennis ITA Regional Championships in Fort Worth to cheer on their fellow Vaqueros in their big day.
