CORPUS CHRISTI – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's soccer team (2-4-1) is set to face the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders (3-3-1) on Thursday at the Dugan Soccer and Track & Field Stadium, as part of the South Texas Showdown, presented by Rally Credit Union.
UTRGV currently leads in the Showdown standings 10-0.
The Vaqueros will be back at home on Sept. 21 when they open Western Athletic Conference play against Abilene Christian at 6:30 p.m. at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
