RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Thursday the launch of the Vaqueros Athletic Fund (VAF), formerly known as the V Club, as the giving arm of UTRGV Athletics.
 
The VAF represents & serves the mission of supporting UTRGV student-athlete success by providing resources that are necessary to compete for championships, earn degrees, and create leaders of tomorrow.
 
Raising these crucial resources through various avenues of fundraising is paramount in this current climate of college athletics that is constantly evolving.
 
"We are living in what will likely be remembered as the most impactful time for college athletics in the history of the Rio Grande Valley," UTRGV Vice President and Director of Athletics Chasse Conque said. "This is possible in large part due to our generous supporters. I want to thank them for helping us to #RallyTheValley in a meaningful way."
 
Supporters can give through annual fund, sport-specific, leadership, major, capital, and planned gifts, as well as per seat donations, premium seating, events, and special initiatives.
 
The VAF encompasses all existing giving societies, such as the Champions Club, Football Founder Society, Varsity Club, and the UTRGV Legacy Society.
