Women's Soccer Falls at Louisiana

LAFAYETTE, La. – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's soccer team fell 4-0 to the University of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns on Sunday at Home Bank Soccer & Track Complex snapping their four-match win streak.
 
The Vaqueros (4-3-1) saw their shutout streak stop at 403:39 as the Ragin' Cajuns (5-1-4) scored a goal in the 19thminute off the foot of Megan Bradley.
 
Louisiana added three goals in the second half as they got goals from Tatum Beck in the 52nd minute, Sydney Byrnes in the 78th minute, and Briana Henry in the 88th minute. 
 
The Vaqueros were outshot by the Ragin' Cajuns 18 to 8 and 5 to 3 on goal. 
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action on Sept. 22 when they open Southland Conference play against Texas A&M-Commerce at 12 p.m. at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex. Attendance is free but fans will need a digital pass to gain entrance. Fans can sign up for the UTRGV Soccer Pass at GoUTRGV.com/SoccerPass. A clear bag policy is in place at the facility.
