RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) announced on Tuesday that The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) swimming & diving sophomore
Manou Meulebeek was named the Female Athlete of the Week.
In UTRGV's season opener Saturday, Meulebeek qualified for the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Championships in the 3-meter springboard after rewriting her own program record, scoring 293.25 to win the event.
There are five zone meets across the country where divers will compete to qualify for the NCAA Championships. For 2025, the NCAA zone qualification score is set at 265 for the 1-meter springboard and 280 for the 3-meter springboard.
At UTRGV's first NCAA DI meet in program history on Saturday, Meulebeek qualified for the NCAA Zone "D" Diving competition in the 1 and 3 meter springboard after winning both events with scores of 299.33 and 286.43, respectively, clinching her ticket into the NCAA postseason.

For 2026, the NCAA zone qualification score is set at 265 for the 1-meter springboard and 280 for the 3-meter springboard. The 2026 Zone "D" Diving Championships will be hosted by Texas A&M from March 9-11.
In addition to her record-breaking performance, Meulebeek scored a 262.05 to win the 1-meter springboard and sweep the diving events against UT Permian Basin.
Meulebeek and the Vaqueros will host their first meet of the 2025-26 season against Incarnate Word on Saturday. The meet is free and open to the public. Complimentary admission can obtained for all home UTRGV swimming & diving meets by getting a UTRGV Swimming & Diving Pass
