RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday that sophomore Manou Meulebeek, of the swimming & diving team, is the UTRGV Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
In the Vaqueros home opener against Incarnate Word Saturday, Meulebeek continued her hot streak on the boards, qualifying for the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Championships and winning the 1-meter springboard with a score of 265.72.
 
Meulebeek then reset her school record with a dominant 319.50 on the 3-meter springboard to sweep the diving events for the Vaqueros.
 
Earlier this season, Meulebeek qualified for the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Championships in the 3-meter springboard. She will compete at the zone championships in back-to-back years in the 1- and 3-meter springboard, after qualifying as a freshman last season.
 
There are five zone meets across the country where divers will compete to qualify for the NCAA Championships. For 2026, the NCAA zone qualification score for women's diving is set at 265 for the 1-meter springboard and 280 for the 3-meter springboard.
