RIO GRANDE VALLEY –The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team learned on Monday that junior
Natalia Rodriguez is the Southland Conference (SLC) Golfer of the Month.
Rodriguez led the Vaqueros with a 73.2 scoring average through five rounds in the month of October.
Rodriguez posted a three-round score of 219 at the Diamante Intercollegiate with rounds of 71, 75, and 73. Rodriguez finished tied for 31
st out of 104 golfers.
Rodriguez then finished tied for 17
th out of 63 golfers at the Bear Brawl where she turned in rounds of 75 and 72 for a two-round total of 147.
Rodriguez finished the fall with a team-leading 75.2 scoring average.
The Vaqueros will back in action on Feb. 2 when they open the spring season at the Texas State Invitational.
