WACO – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's tennis team is wrapping up their fall season with Baylor's H-E-B Invitational from Friday-Sunday at Hurd Tennis Center.
 
The Vaqueros will compete against individuals from power conference teams including Baylor, Iowa State, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, and Texas A&M. The Vaqueros will also face individuals from Denver, Rice, and UT San Antonio.

In singles, senior Yaiza Vazquez will compete in the red draw, senior Barbara Martinez plays in the green draw, junior Madeleine Joffe is slated in the purple draw, and junior Hitakamya Narwal will compete in the orange draw. Representing the Vaqueros in the yellow draw is sophomore Luna Buijtenhuijs and junior Rhea Makesar while sophomore Mariia Bakhtina and senior Valentina Urraco compete in the pink draw.
 
The Vaqueros will have four doubles teams competing in the main draw which include the team of Martinez and Vazquez, Bakhtina and Urraco, Makesar and Narwal, and Buijtenhuijs and Joffe.
 
The competition will be livestreamed via Baylor's PlaySight account and fans can follow along on the tournament site.
