HUMACAO, Puerto Rico – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team finished in 12^th place as the final round of the Puerto Rico Shootout was canceled due to unplayable conditions at Palmas Del Mar Golf Club. 

The Vaqueros finished with a two-round total of 609 with rounds of 308 and 301 and finished just six shots back of Ball State and Little Rock for 10^th place. 
 
Sophomore Natalia Rodriguez finished tied for 14th with a two-round score of 147 with rounds of 76 and 71. Sophomore Preston Saiz and senior Cristina Galban both tied for 51^st with two-round totals of 154. Saiz carded rounds of 74 and 80 while Galba posted rounds of 79 and 75. 
 
Junior Jackie Howard Gonzalez tied for 62^nd with a two-round score of 156 after posting rounds of 79 and 77. Freshman Kieli Saenz tied for 65^th with a two-round score of 157 with rounds of 79 and 78. 
 
The Vaqueros are back in action from March 10-11 at the Riverbend Intercollegiate in Sugar Land.
