SAN MARCOS – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team finished in seventh place to close out the Southland Conference (SLC) Championship on Wednesday at Kissing Tree Golf Course. 
 
The Vaqueros turned in a final round 305 for a three-round score of 913. 
 
Sophomore Natalia Rodriguez finished tied for seventh place with a three-round score of 221 after carding a final round one-over par 73. Sophomore Preston Saiz finished tied for 11^th with a three-round score of 225 after turning in a final round 75. 
 
Senior Cristina Galban finished tied for 20^th with a three-round score 230 after posting a final round 80. Junior Jackie Howard Gonzalez finished tied for 36^th with a three-round score of 243 after posting a final round 83. Sophomore Camila Herrera subbed in for freshman Kieli Saenz in the final round and carded a 77. 
 
Saenz finished in 38^th with a two-round score of 165. 
 
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi won the Southland Conference Championship with a three-round score of 885. Augusta's Zoe Pinillos won the individual championship with a three-round score of 214.
