BRYAN – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team finished in 12^th place at the "Mo" Morial Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M, on Tuesday at Traditions Golf Club.   
 
The Vaqueros posted their best round of the tournament on Tuesday as they turned in a final round 317, which was a five shot improvement from round two. UTRGV finished with a three-round score of 963 just two strokes outside the top-10. 
 
Sophomore Natalia Rodriguez led the way for the Vaqueros as she finished tied for 17^th with a three-round score of 232 after posting a final round 78. Senior Cristina Galban came in 39^th with a three-round score of 238 after a final round 76. 
 
Freshman Kieli Saenz finished tied for 59^th with a three-round score of 247 after a final round 83. Junior Jackie Howard Gonzalez finished in 68^th with a three-round score of 255 after a final round 80 while sophomore Preston Saiz finished in 83^rd after a final round 83. 
 
Host Texas A&M won the team title with a three-round score of 880 after a final round 281. Texas A&M's Cayetana Fernandez won the individual title with a three-round score of 214 after a final round 70. 
 
The Vaqueros will be back in action from April 14-16 when they compete at the Southland Conference Championship at Kissing Tree Golf Course in San Marcos.
