Charlotte O'Keefe has been named the SLC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season.
O'Keefe was tremendous offensively and defensively as she recorded back-to-back double-doubles during UTRGV's final road weekend of the regular season. She contributed 20.5 points/game, 18.5 rebounds/game and 5.5 assists/game over the week.
During a tight 60-53 loss at SLC regular season champion McNeese, O'Keefe scored the 1,000
th point of her career as she recorded 18 points with 18 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block in a full 40 minutes of action. She is the only player in program history to have 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career.
O'Keefe was one rebound shy of her second 20/20 game of the season as she led the Vaqueros to a 77-54 victory at Southeastern for their 10
th road win of the season. She scored a career high-tying 23 points with 19 rebounds, four assists and one block while shooting 9-of-11 from the field. She shot 68% from the field over the week with 41 points scored.
O'Keefe's 37 rebounds led all of Div. I women's basketball for rebounds recorded in games played from Feb. 16-22. She leads the SLC in all four rebounding categories plus minutes/game and double-doubles and is second in the nation in rebounds/game while ranking in the top 11 in every rebounding category:

O'Keefe ranks fourth among active Div. I players in career rebounding average (min. 550 rebounds) with 10.05 rebounds/game through 111 career games and is ninth among active players with 1,113 career rebounds.
O'Keefe and the Vaqueros will play their final three games of the regular season at the UTRGV Fieldhouse starting with a 12 p.m. SLC game against Northwestern State on Thursday on School Day, presented by Whataburger. The multi-program record holder will be honored on Senior Day as UTRGV takes on East Texas A&M at 2 p.m. Saturday as part of a doubleheader with the men's team.
