Women's Golf Set for South Texas Match Play on Friday

CORPUS CHRISTI – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros women's golf team looks to UTRGV's lead in the South Texas Showdown, presented by Rally Credit Union, as they take on the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders in the South Texas Match Play on Friday at 1 p.m. at Corpus Christi Country Club.

Tournament Format

Each team will have a five-member lineup.
Each hole is worth one point. If both golfers record the same score, then the hole is halved.

Golf Course Info

Corpus Christi Country Club plays 6,250 yards.
The par for the course is 72

South Texas Showdown Standings

UTRGV currently leads the Islanders 19-18 with the track and field events still competing.
The next event will be men's and women's tennis matches on March 21.
UTRGV earned three points in the standings by finishing ahead of the Islanders at the Islanders Collegiate Invitational
