RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros baseball team (5-8, 0-3 SLC) plays its Southlad Conference home opening series against the New Orleans Privateers (6-7, 1-2 SLC) on Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at UTRGV Baseball Stadium.

Friday, March 6, 6:30 p.m. vs. New Orleans*
Superhero Night • Educators Appreciation Night, presented by H-E-B
•Free general admission for fans wearing a superhero costume or shirt.
•Free general admission for PK-12 teachers, staff, and administrators with a school ID.
•The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive free sunglasses, courtesy of H-E-B.
 
Saturday, March 7, 6:30 p.m. vs. New Orleans*
Catch 'Em All Night
•Dress up as your favorite Pokémon or Pokémon trainer and take part in the costume contest.
•Fans will be able to take part in other Pokémon-themed activities throughout the game, including a Victory Vaquero card giveaway and Pokémon battles.
 
Sunday, March 8, 1 p.m. vs. New Orleans*
Family Fun Day • Community Heroes Day, presented by Driscoll Children's Hospital • Texas Regional Bank Card Day
•Get four general admission tickets, four drinks, and four hot dogs for $44.
•UTRGV Athletics donated 200 tickets to the Veteran Tickets Foundation, including 100 for Vet Tix and 100 for 1st Tix, that can be claimed by veterans, serving and retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, nurses and 911 dispatchers that can be claimed for free during the week leading up to this game.
•Fans that bring their Vaqueros Debit Card from Texas Regional Bank will receive free general admission to the game.

All Games
Current UTRGV students receive free general admission with a digital ticket that can be acquired at GoUTRGV.com/StudentTickets and their student ID. New for this year – there is a dedicated student entrance up the third baseline accessible from the sidewalk next to Sugar Rd.

DQ Blast
If a Vaquero hits a home run, all fans in attendance receive coupons for a free blizzard with the purchase of any menu item from Dairy Queen.
 
Raising Cane's Lucky Section
At everyone Saturday home game, two random rows in two different sections will compete to win buy one, get one free box combo vouchers for their entire section.
 
Wing Barn Fan of the Game
The most spirited fan at each game receives a $10 gift card to Wing Barn.
