RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) announced on Thursday that sophomore
Manou Meulebeek of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros swimming & diving team earned second team all-conference honors in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard.
Meulebeek earned top-eight finishes in both events at the MPSF Swimming & Diving Championships in late February to secure her place among the conference's best divers.
In the 1-meter springboard, Meulebeek took fifth place, which tied for the highest individual finish at a conference championship in program history, with a score of 269.95 in the final round.
In the 3-meter springboard, Meulebeek finished in seventh with a score of 255.85 in the finals.
Meulebeek shined throughout the year, reaching program-record scores of 319.5 in the 3-meter springboard and 316.95 in the 1-meter springboard.
Her success during the regular season parlayed into her second consecutive postseason appearance, qualifying for the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Championships.
At the Zone "D" Diving Championships, Meulebeek earned a program-high 22
nd place in the 1-meter springboard and finished in 39
th in the 3-meter springboard.
