RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Vaqueros Department of Intercollegiate Athletics learned on Tuesday that sophomore
Manou Meulebeek, senior
Delaney Murphy, sophomore
Ida Rudelius, and junior
Olivia Votava of the swimming & diving program have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.
Academic All-District selections are part of the Academic All-America program, which is the longest running and premier award for athletic and academic success across many levels of college sports. To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore athletically and academically with a 3.50 cumulative GPA or better. Requirements to earn Academic All-District for swimming & diving also include competing in at least half of your team's meets or finishing within the top eight in an individual event at their respective conference championships.
Meulebeek earned top eight finishes, earning fifth in the 1-meter springboard and seventh in the 3-meter springboard at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Swimming & Diving Championships in late February. Meulebeek qualified for the NCAA Zone "D" Diving Championships for the second consecutive year, earning a program-high 22
nd place in the 1-meter springboard and 39
th in the 3-meter springboard.
Murphy competed in every meet this year and medaled six times, including a first-place finish in the 3-meter springboard in the West Florida Tri-Meet.
Rudelius improved in her freestyle swims this season, earning collegiate-best times in the 50 freestyle (24.82) and 200 freestyle (1:56.97). In addition, she also competed as part of four relay teams that set program records this year including the 200 freestyle relay (1:39.18), 400 freestyle relay (3:36.02), 800 freestyle relay (7:48.32), and 200 medley relay (1:50.55).
Votava represented one of 13 entries to score for the Vaqueros during the 2026 MPSF Swimming & Diving Championships in late February, placing 23
rd in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:08.93. She also led the team in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:14.69.
