RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The Southland Conference (SLC) announced the 2025-26 Women's Basketball All-Academic Awards on Friday and The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) senior forward
Charlotte O'Keefe was voted the Student-Athlete of the Year.
O'Keefe and four teammates – sophomore guard
Gianna Angiolet, junior guard
Madison Huhn, junior guard
Jalayah Ingram and redshirt junior guard
Erin Maguire – all made the All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better with at least one semester completed at the nominating institution and must have played in at least 50% of the team's games. To be eligible for Student-Athlete of the Year, the minimum GPA is 3.50 along with the other requirements.
O'Keefe and Ingram were automatic selections to the All-Academic Team since they were named to the All-Conference First Team at the conclusion of the season and met the academic standards.
O'Keefe also made the All-Defensive Team and was a three-time SLC Player of the Week. The 2025-26 UTRGV Female Legacy Award Winner ended the season nationally ranked in rebounds per game (second), defensive RPG (third), total rebounds (sixth), offensive RPG (12
th), double-doubles (14
th), minutes/game (21
st), blocks/game (60
th), and total blocks (78
th). She led the SLC in six stat categories as she racked up 399 rebounds, averaging 13.8 RPG and 12.4 PPG to be the only player in the SLC to average a double-double for the second consecutive season. O'Keefe leaves UTRGV as the only player in program history to surpass 1,000 career rebounds and points. She is the program record holder for career rebounds (1,207), career blocks (146), single-season rebounds (400), and single-game rebounds (24). She totaled 39 career double-doubles, ranking fourth in SLC history. O'Keefe is a multi-CSC Academic All-District and AD Honor Roll honoree.
Ingram was named the SLC Newcomer of the Year and earned Player of the Week once. She set a program record as she made 193 free throws in a single season, ranking fifth in the nation and leading the conference. She was also ranked 71
st nationally as she scored 558 points and 84
th with 137 assists – both marks are third-best in a single season in program history.
Angiolet was fifth on the team averaging 7.0 points per game in her second season at UTRGV. She shot 36% from the 3-point line and dished out 41 assists with 16 steals. Angiolet recorded her first career double-double in a win over New Orleans, scoring 11 points with 10 rebounds. She made five threes in two games, going 5-for-6 from deep against Nicholls and 5-for-7 against Stephen F. Austin.
Huhn appeared in 34 games and made 13 starts. She averaged 1.9 points and 1.3 rebounds per game and totaled 13 assists and six steals. Huhn shot 38% from the field.
Maguire was fourth on the team averaging 8.2 points per game. She started and played in 33 games in her first season at UTRGV. Maguire shot 81% from the free throw line and averaged 2.8 rebounds per game. She was second on the team dishing out 3.15 assists per game and was a force defensively, snatching 34 steals with seven blocks.
