RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Monday that fans can now request tickets for UTRGV's football game at UTSA on Sept. 5.
 
The Vaqueros will play their first-ever Div. I FBS opponent when they battle the UTSA Roadrunners at 2:30 p.m. at the Alamodome. Due to the limited ticket inventory provided to UTRGV Athletics by the host institution and anticipated high demand, fans are asked to fill out the ticket request form, which can be found at GoUTRGV.com/UTSATickets.
 
Filling out the form does not guarantee that tickets will be available for purchase. Ticket requests will be fulfilled based on Vaqueros Loyalty Points rankings and in priority order dependent on inventory availability.
 
Seats provided to UTRGV will be located in Sections 136-140 in the lower bowl and Sections 237-241 in the upper bowl at the Alamodome. All tickets allotted within the UTRGV designated sections will be $41 each.
 
The number of tickets fans can purchase will be based on Vaqueros Loyalty Point ranks:
Ranks 1-200: up to 10 tickets
Ranks 201-500: up to eight tickets
Ranks 501-750: up to six tickets
Ranks 751-1,500: up to four tickets
Ranks 1,501 and beyond: up to two tickets
 
The deadline to earn Vaqueros Loyalty Points is June 30. Fans can improve rankings by purchasing season tickets and/or making a gift to the Vaqueros Athletic Fund.
 
The deadline to request tickets for the football game at UTSA is July 6. UTRGV Athletics will begin fulfilling ticket requests on July 13. Payment in full will be required within 24 hours of ticket requests being fulfilled.
