RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) baseball program announced that they will be hosting five camps in July at UTRGV Baseball Stadium
 
The Vaqueros are planning to host a Four-Day Kids Camp, Four-Day Camp, Prospect Camp, Under The Lights, and Kids Under The Lights Camp.
 
All camps are led by UTRGV Head Baseball Coach Derek Matlock and the entire UTRGV baseball coaching staff.
 
Four-Day Kids Camp – UTRGV Baseball Stadium – July 6-9 – 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Ages 4-11
This camp is designed to build skills, confidence, and love for the game! Each day from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., campers, ages 4-11, will be guided through appropriate drills and games that focus on hitting, fielding, throwing, baserunning, and overall fundamentals. Coaches will create a positive, electric atmosphere where beginners will enjoy learning the basics and more advanced players will grow in their skills. The price to register for this camp is $160.

Four-Day Camp – UTRGV Baseball Stadium – July 6-9 – 4-7 p.m. – Ages 12+
This camp is designed to give campers, ages 12-18, the ability to go sharpen their skills through advanced drills and position-specific training covering hitting mechanics, defensive footwork, throwing velocity, baserunning, and in-game decision making. Campers will also participate in game-like scenarios. This camp is ideal for those preparing for higher levels of competition and commitment to improving their craft. The price to register for this camp is $200.

Prospect Camp – UTRGV Baseball Stadium – July 19 – 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Ages 14+
This camp is designed to give participants, ages 14 and up, an opportunity to showcase their skills while being evaluated by college coaches. Position players will be evaluated in the 60-yard dash, hitting, defense, pop times, and arm strength, while pitchers will receive instruction in a guided bullpen session. The price to register for this camp is $125 for pitchers, $150 for position players, and $175 for two-way players.

Under The Lights Camp – UTRGV Baseball Stadium – July 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29 – 5:45-8:30 p.m. – Ages 12+
 
This six-day camp is designed to allow campers, ages 12 and up, to learn how to become a better player. Campers will develop and work on hitting and fielding fundamentals as well as high-level mechanics in a small group session setting. They will also get exposed to high-level teaching and equipment to improve your all-around game skills. The price to register for this camp is $200.
 
Kids Under The Lights Camp – UTRGV Baseball Stadium – July 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30 – 5:45-8:30 p.m. – Ages 5-12
 
This six-day camp is designed to allow campers, ages 5-12, to learn how to become a better player. Campers will develop and work on hitting and fielding fundamentals as well as high-level mechanics in a small group session setting. They will also get exposed to high-level teaching and equipment to improve your all-around game skills. The price to register for this camp is $150.
