Biography

2002-03: Set a pair of meet records at the Angela Procter Invitational, finishing first at 100 meters in 12.36, and finishing first at 400 in 56.97. Her time of 25.06 for 200 meters at the Texas Relays was a PR, as was her time of 2:19.26 for 800 at the Javelina Relays.


LOS FRESNOS HS: An outstanding high school runner, Torvik raced to personal bests of 11.90 at 100 meters, and 57.7 at 400 meters. Torvik was a four-time district champ in at 100 meters, and earned Rio Grande Valley Meet of Champions titles in her final two seasons, while setting a meet record of 11.92 seconds in her final Meet of Champions effort. She also won the 400 meter championship as a senior.
