2008-09 [Junior Season]
In his second season donning the Bronc green and orange, Nathan Hawkins appeared in all 27 contests for the Broncs, while earning a spot on the starting lineup on 16 occasions...concluded his junior campaign averaging 9.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game...ranked second amongst the squad in field-goals made (99), free throw attempts (133) and free throws made (65); third in field-goal percentage (.527), field-goal attempts (188), points (263), scoring average (9.7), rebounds (91) and rebound average (3.4); sixth in blocked shots (3); and 11th in free throw percentage (.489)...scored a season-high 22 points and eight rebounds against Wofford at the Air Force Tournament in Colorado Springs...recorded 14 contests in double-digit points...posted 19 contests of .500 or better, including a perfect 1.000 (3-3) against NCCU (Jan. 14)...in the opening game of the season, Hawkins scored 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field and 3-of-6 from the charity stripe against Sul Ross State (Nov. 15)...notched 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and a perfect 1-of-1 from the charity stripe against UTSA (Dec. 18)...named UTPA Male Athlete of the Year...named to the 2009 Great West Conference Spring All-Academic team...earned Bronc Pride 3.0 Club laurels.
2007-08 [Sophomore Season]
Hawkins appeared in all 31 games with 30 starts during his first season with the Broncs, which was the most among all Bronc newcomers... Hawkins concluded the 2007-08 campaign by averaging 10.6 points per game to go along with 3.9 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game... ranked second on the Broncs in free throws made (96), free throw attempts (168), field goal percentage (.525), and third in rebounds (120), fourth in total points (328), field goal attempts (221), fifth in minutes (785), and sixth in free throw percentage (.571)... scored a career-high 23 points, including a career-high 11-of-13 shooting from the field to go along with three rebounds against Huston-Tillotson (Jan. 16)... recorded his first career double-double (points-rebounds) against Bethune-Cookman (Dec. 22) at the Las Vegas Tournament with a 19-point, 10-rebound performance while logging a career-high 40 minutes... notched 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting versus Western Illinois (Nov. 28) at the Missouri State University Tournament... collected 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe to go with four rebounds against Tulsa (Dec. 15) at the Drake University Tournament... scored 18 points, including a career-high 10-14 shooting from the charity stripe to go along with four rebounds versus Texas Southern (Dec. 23)... recorded 17 games of 10 or more points this past season... selected to the Las Vegas Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team... scored 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field and 5-of-11 from the charity stripe and added four rebounds on the road against New Jersey Institute of Technology (Jan. 26)... collected three or more rebounds in 21 games this past season... notched 15 points, including 7-of-10 from the free throw line, to go with eight rebounds and two assists against Jackson State (Dec. 7) at the Drake University Tournament... scored 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and added six rebounds versus Harding University (Nov. 17)... collected 12 points and three rebounds at the UTPA Fieldhouse against Chicago State (Feb. 2)... selected to the Independent All-Newcomer Team for the first time in his career.
2006-07 Season [Moberly Area Community College]
Hawkins was a standout for the Moberly Area Community College men[apos]s basketball program where he averaged 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in his one season with the team.
2005-06 Season [Fairfield University]
Hawkins red-shirted during the 2005-06 season at Fairfield University.
The Lawrenceville Prep School
Following his graduation from Sandra Day O[apos]Connor High School, Hawkins attended The Lawrenceville Prep School where he was selected as the number-four post guard by New Jersey Hoops... averaged 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game en route to earning Most Valuable Player honors for The Lawrenceville Prep School... selected to both the Hillside All-Tournament Team and MAPL All-Tournament Team.
High School
A product of San Antonio, TX, Hawkins was a standout at Sandra Day O[apos]Connor High School where he was a first team all-region and first team All-District 28-5A selection during his senior campaign... selected to the All-San Antonio Super Team as well as an all-city selection during the 2005 season... nominated for the Wendy[apos]s High School Heisman Award... served as a team captain for the Sandra Day O[apos]Connor High School boys[apos] basketball team during his senior campaign... averaged 22.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game as a senior... graduated as the program[apos]s all-time leader in career rebounds.

Hawkins is the son of the late Robert Hawkins and Barbara Hawkins... born on September 1, 1986... has one brother - Robert... father (Robert) played in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors and played collegiate at Illinois State... brother (Robert) played collegiate basketball at St. Mary[apos]s University... nephew of NBA Hall of Fame player George Gervin, who played for the San Antonio Spurs... nephew of former NBA standout Derrick Gervin... majoring in business management.
