As a Junior in 2003 - Netemeyer proved to be a perfect compliment to Jaclyn Muszynski on the outside as the UTPA junior had a banner year by setting career-highs in five categories. She established new highs in kills, kills per game, hitting percentage, attacks and blocks. She was rewarded with a second consecutive trip to the All-Independent second team. Netemeyer finished first on the team in hitting percentage and second in kills, kills per game and attacks. She hit better than .400 in nine matches, including hitting .552 (11-2-16) versus Incarnate Word (Sept. 23). She ended the season with 19 matches of 10 or more kills and notched 20 or more kills on seven occasions. She had a career-high 27 kills in consecutive matches against Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (Oct. 31) and Texas - El Paso (Nov. 4). Against Connecticut (Oct. 18), Netemeyer had 25 kills and 19 digs. She was named the Co-Independent Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 21), which was chosen by the Sports Information Directors of Independent Division I volleyball schools. She had four double-doubles on the season.
As a Sophomore in 2002 - In her first season with the Lady Broncs after transferring from the University of Iowa, Netemeyer made an immediate splash in the lineup. The outside hitter was named the Independent Newcomer of the Year that season and was a second team All-Independent team member. She led the squad with 34 service aces. She had a career-high six aces against Centenary (Oct. 4). Netemeyer was second in assists and digs and third in kills, kills per game, attacks and blocks. She had her first 20-20 match against Texas - Permian Basin (Sept. 26), finishing with 21 kills and 23 digs. She recorded 20 digs in the final match of the season against UC - Irvine (Nov. 30). The Los Fresnos, TX, native had 11 matched of 10 or more kills and 15 games of 10 or more digs. She put together a string of four consecutive double-doubles and ended the year with six. Against Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (Nov. 16), she had one of her best all-around matches, finishing with 17 kills, 15 digs, four service aces and three blocks.
As a Freshman in 2001 - Netemeyer ranked fifth in kills per game for the Hawkeyes during her freshman season. She averaged 1.64 kills per game and hit .149 from the outside.
High School - Netemeyer had an impressive prep career that included twos trips to the first team all-district and all-area squads. She was the Most Valuable Player at Los Fresnos High School both of those years. As a senior, she recorded 336 kills, 101 digs and 54 blocks. She was a second team all-district, all-area and All-Rio Grande Valley team member as a sophomore. Netemeyer lettered in volleyball, basketball, softball and track and field and was voted as the Most Athletic Senior at LFHS. On the basketball court, she earned all-district, all-area, all-valley and all-region honors. She was named to the first team All-South Texas by High School Sports Magazine. She collected 52 first place medals and trophies in track and field and was a first team all-district and all-metro selection. Netemeyer broke the district triple jump record as a senior and placed sixth in the long jump at the state meet. She was also a first team all-district selection. She excelled equally in the classroom, earning Academic All-State laurels along with being a member of the National Honor Society.
Off the Court - Netemeyer is the daughter of Candy Woodin and Debbie and Daniel Netemeyer. She was born on Apr. 6, 1982 and has three brothers, Ron, Brent and Travis and one sister, Cari. Netemeyer is a pre-dental/chemistry major.
