2013 Season • Sophomore
Indoor – Competed in two meets ... finished in fourth place inthe weight throw with a toss of 13.89m and also finished in fourth in the shot put with a throw of 12.99m at the Great West Conference Championships ... finished in ninth place in the weight throw with a mark of 13.75m at the Masked Rider Open.

Outdoor – Finished fifth in the shot put with a mark of 13.56 meters and seventh in the hammer throw with a career-best 42.45 at the Great West Conference Championships (5/3-4) … Placed fourth in the shot put with a distance of 13.17 meters and fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.62 meters at the Javelina Twilight Invitational (4/13) … Finished sixth in the shot put with a mark of 13.90 meters and 11^th in the hammer throw with a distance of 39.47 meters at the Texas State Invitational (4/5) … Placed eighth in the shot put with a distance of 12.56 meters and eighth in the hammer throw with a distance of 39.56 meters at the Cactus Cup (3/16).

2012 Season • Freshman
Indoor – Competed in two meets … Made career-best weight throw of 13.11 meters to finish ninth at Great West Conference Championships while coming in fifth in the shot put with a season-best mark of 13.95 meters.
 
Outdoor – Competed in six meets … Recorded best hammer throw of career at 42.38 meters to place 15^th at Great West Conference Championships while also finishing 10^th in the shot put with a throw of 13.76 meters … Came in third in shot put at Trinity Alumni Classic with throw of 14.26 meters … Made longest shot put throw of career at 14.62 meters to finish ninth at Victor Lopez Classic … Recorded longest discus throw of career with a mark of 38.92 meters to place 12^th at the Cactus Cup.
 
Moody High School
Was a multi-sport athlete and lettered in both track and field and football ... in track and field, was a two-time District Champion in the shot put (2010, 2011), as well as a two-time finalist at the Region IV-4A Championships (2010, 2011) ... In 2010, Medrano was named to the First Team All-South Texas Track and Field Team ... On the football field, Medrano was a three-year varsity letterman recipient (2008-10) ... named to the District 31 All-Academic Football Team his senior year.
