Biography

2014 Season (Graduate Student): Competed in two races … finished in 27th place at the WAC Championships with a time of 26:41 in the 8K race … posted a 33rd place finish at the Texas A&M Invitational with a time of 19:20.3 in the 6K race.

2013 Season (Senior): Competed in four meets … posted four top-10 finishes … finished in 10th place at the WAC Cross Country Championships with a time of 25:56.40 in the 8K earning him Second Team All-Conference honors … recorded a sixth place finish at the Islander Splash with a time of 27:02 in the 8K which earned him his second WAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week award … posted a time of 16:20.3 in the 5K at the Ricardo Romo Classic to finish in eighth place … finished in second place at the Texas Lutheran University Invitational in the 5K with a time of 16:10, which earned him WAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week. 

2012 (Junior): Did not compete in cross country.

2011 (Sophomore): Competed in four meets ... placed fourth at the UTSA Ricardo Romo/Six Flags Fiesta Texas Classic with a time of 15:09.2 ... posted a time of 26:31 at the Islander Splash for a third place finish ... had a time of 31:25.2 at the Chilli Pepper Cross Country Festival for a 75th place finish ... finished in sixth place at the Great West Conference Championship  with a time of 25:33.23.

2010  (Freshman): Along with teammate Rollie Vela, Serrano came in sixth at the Bronc Buster hosted by UTPA.

Edinburg North High School: Serrano earned four letters in cross country and four in track and field while attending Edinburg North High School…helped team win district championships in cross country and track and field…a four time regional qualifier and three time state qualifier

Off the Track: Serrano is the son of Eloxochitl Serrano…has one brother-Jonathan…born Aug. 25, 1991…majoring in Kinesiology.
