Texas Rio Grande Valley Athletics

Mierzycki saw action in 24 games for the Broncs and earned a starting spot three times…averaged 21.5 minutes per game while shooting 43% from the floor…made 52 free throws for a shooting percentage of 61%...grabbed 141 total rebounds and led the team with 5.9 rebounds per game…ranked 5^th in scoring with an average of 7.6 points per game, third in field goal percentage,  10^th in free throw percentage, and second in rebounds per game...scored 17 points (season high) vs. Houston Baptist (2-10-10)…scored in double-figures eight times…grabbed a season high 14 rebounds @ Chicago State (2-6-10). 

Parkland College

Mierzycki earned All-Conference honors both seasons at Parkland...averaged 11 points and six rebounds as a freshman...as a sophomore, averaged 15 points and eight rebounds...recorded 41 points and 20 rebounds in a single game.

Glenview South High School 

Mierzycki was a letter winner in basketball, baseball and football at Glenview South High School...earned All-Conference honors during his senior campaign...also earned All-Area honors along with being named team MVP and was on the honor roll...averaged 17 points and eight rebounds during his senior campaign...collected a career-high 33 points.

Mierzycki is the son of Peggy Utz...born on Feb. 28, 1989...has one brother - Danny...Danny plays basketball at the University of Pennsylvania.
