2010 (sophomore)

In his second season wearing green and orange, Tovar saw action in 15 games earning a start six times as catcher…completed his sophomore season with a .265 batting average, belted one home run and drove in five…scored four runs and had nine hits…had a 1.000 fielding percentage.   

2009 (freshman)

Tovar appeared in 15 games behind the plate, while earning three consecutive starts in Northern Colorado...posted a career-high seven at-bats against Northern Colorado (5/11), to go along with three hits and three runs...finished 3-for-6 with five RBI and a double against Northern Colorado (5/12)...concluded the season with a .250 batting average.

Foy H. Moody High School

Tovar lettered in football and baseball...was a member of the state championship team in 2007...concluded his prep career with a .389 batting average...member of HOSA and the National Honor Society.

Off the Diamond

Tovar is the son of Ted and Elda Tovar...born on Oct. 31, 1989...has one sister-Stacy...majoring in chemistry.
